What is rhuuws?
RHUUWS is the Rural Health Union of the University of Western Sydney. It has been running since 2007, and has grown from a small group of keen individuals to a member base of several hundred health science students at UWS. We aim to:
- Bring together students from health disciplines who share an interest in rural health.
- Educate the community about the needs that are particular to rural communities in Australia.
- Provide opportunities for members to get involved in rural health, through events such as rural high school visits, rural health conferences, and rural scholarships.
-
Educate rural communities about living healthily, and encouraging members of rural communities to pursue health disciplines and serve their communities. On top of all that, of course, we aim to have a lot of fun along the way!
Next meeting:
Monday 11th October @ 5pm @ Building 3, Campbelltown campus
